Royal Society of Literature
The Royal Society of Literature (RSL) is one of the oldest learned societies in the UK, and Britain’s charity for the advancement of literature. It includes a Fellowship of nearly 700 writers, selected by the writing community, which seeks to showcase and celebrate the finest voices in UK literature. I supported the RSL over an extended period, working with them to develop their onward fundraising strategy, explore income diversification, develop a pipeline of funding approaches, and oversee major bid development.
Hear Me Out
Hear Me Out is the only arts organisation working across the UK’s national immigration detention system. I support the organisation with fundraising strategy, research, and bid development for ambitious programmes of arts activity and event for people with lived experience fo the detention system; and work which helps to bring these voices to public attention. Since starting work with Hear Me Out in 2018, I’ve supported the organisation to raise almost £1 million in grant funds.
British Psychotherapy Foundation
The British Psychotherapy Foundation (bpf) works to ensure that the benefits of psychotherapy are available to as many people who need it as possible. It is one of the largest psychotherapy membership and training organisations in Europe, with an approach based on the rich tradition of psychoanalytic and Jungian theory and practice, while also drawing on scientific advances in the understanding of the human mind and development.
I worked with the bpf following a period of transition to lead a fundraising review and feasibility study; formulate a fundraising strategy; and support their work around their renewed Theory of Change.
Something To Aim For
Something To Aim For works to centre people historically left at the fringes of the creative industries; develop collaborations to amplify communities; and offer creative solutions to systemic social problems. I’ve worked with them to develop fundraising infrastructure, create a strategic plan for income generation, and to support six-figure bid development, including Arts Council England’s most recent National Portfolio investment round.
London Bubble
London Bubble frees people’s creative voices to foster a more connected and equal society. From their vibrant, inclusive venue on Elephant Lane, in the London Borough of Southwark, London Bubble’s mission centres on three values: Creativity; Connection; and Community. I worked with Bubble to lead a comprehensive fundraising audit and develop a new three-year fundraising strategy to support the Executive Leadership oin their plans to secure the theatre’s future.
Rabble Theatre
I’ve supported independent theatre company Rabble, whose programming is rooted in community heritage, with situation anaylsis, strategic planning and bid development
Nafsiyat
I’ve worked with Nafsiyat over the past three years to provide bespoke development support for their regular programmes and special projects, which centre on the provision of specialist intercultural therapy for London-based global majority communities.
